I appreciate the information you have provided! I am currently working on a graduation project and I need data from a source to create a graphic to be included in my paper. My paper is on Motorsport Fitness and what you have shown here is exactly what I’m after.

Is is possible to get some of this data from you?

I also noticed the PitFit logo on your VW. I’m good friends with Jim Leo and he has been kind enough to serve as a primary source for my research paper.

Michael-

I was thrilled to read your account of the Grand-Am/Mustang Challenge weekend. I too would like to thank John and Thaad and Craig for supporting you and providing a way for you to run in the event last weekend.

I watched the entire race and was glad to see a full field (26 cars) for the season-ending event. The series just keeps getting better and better.

I hope to see you at MMP again next year, and maybe even in the full season of the Mustang Challenge Series!

Thank you so much for the memories. I race during 1999 and rented the track with my buddies until 2001. Even though I spent more time on the in pits fixing my kart.
Funny Story I remember my friend rented out the track and I just bought a kart and it rain like cats and dogs. So I suited up I went out on slicks and drove like no big deal. George came up to me and said you either crazy or one hell of a driver and ask me to come out and race. I told him I didn;t have any money or new how to get the kart ready. He said don’t worry I will help you. I knew then that Monrovia would be my home. I made some great friends especially a guy name Randy, Dave, and Ramon..

Thanks Kevin, I am glad you had the chance to watch the documentary. There certainly isn’t any other series like this in North America, or in the world for that matter besides the series Volkswagen runs in other counties such as the Polo Cup and GTI Cup. It is without doubt a major privilege to be involved in the program. I hope to see you at Mid-Ohio, thanks for leaving a comment.

Just watched the 2008 Speed Channel show and am looking forward to seeing them at Mid-Ohio in June. It seems that the drivers come from many different background which is great, but the younger ones sometimes come off as spoiled or not appreciative of given the opportunity like this. This series is a great idea and I hope they do well in the future.

Thanks for the memories, I was the track owner and race direoctor from 91 -95. then George the paver took over. It was a fun trqack. Lots of fathers and sons bonded in a way you just can’t duplicate when your kid plays baseball, football, etc. My son Chad and I used to kick it up together at monrovia and summitt point. Those were the days. thanks gain for the tour.
